The Laugh Out Loud Book Awards (the Lollies) celebrates the best and funniest children’s books in the UK and Ireland, voted for by children. Voting is now open for the Lollies 2020 – it’s time to get reading and voting for your favourites!

Year 2 have already started reading these fantastic books and will tell you all about them I’m sure!

Reading Superstars!

Since September, Year 2 have already read 51, I repeat… FIFTY ONE picture books!!

This is 2C’s reading wall, completely full… we have had to put the additional six books on a different wall. We have challenged ourselves to read 100 by Christmas!

Ahoy Me Hearties!

Today in English we had our story’s front cover revealed! It was very exciting, we decided the book could be about a pirate adventure (all from only reading one page). So we read lots of other pirate books to gather ideas to help our predictions about the story we are slowly revealing.

If you have any pirate adventure books at home please have a read of those too to further support our predictions.
